ENG302 Maya Project!

Working on my English 302 (Critical Thinking) class project right now. It's on the Mayan civilization and how they utilized their religion and sciences in unison. So far, I'm done with the script for our act on how they fell (I'm Hernan Cortez), also done with editing the sacrifice video from Apocalypto (don't sue me, it's for educational purposes) and the pamphlets I"m supposed to pass out to the class.

Why I'm still up you ask? I'm up because I'm working on the Tzolkin. What is the Tzolkin you ask? Well, it's only the most important calendar the Mayans possesed. I'm building a replica of it. How awesome! I'll put up pictures of it once I'm done. Also, I'm workingo n building myself the Spanish armor that Cortez and his men wore when they came to Americas. Once again, I'll put up pictures of it once I'm done. It's ghetto as hell, but it should still be fun.

Also, I noticed that when I looked for pictures of Cortez, I found out that I have the same goatee has he did in his youth. That is awesome and creepy at the same time. It's awesome because I can represent him perfectly. It's creepy because I didn't know that I had the same style as one of the most hated men in history (of the Americas).

Anyways, if you're wondering why I'm writing this... Well I'm writing this because I'm currently drinking RedBull and Absinthe from Lucid. I have to admit, Absinthe is some crazy shit. It's 62% alcohol, now that is badass.

Also, listening to some Drum N' Bass. Now that is a bad ass mix. Alcohol and Drum N' Bass.

Formula 1

Umm...what the hell is going on here?


Why the hell does this car look stupid? I really don't want to be mean to the designers, because it's not their fault, but for fucks sake. WTF? This is FIA's new way of regulating my beloved Formula 1 and it's pissing me off. Well, not just me, but pretty much most of the fans.

How did this atrocity come about? Becuase FIA and F1 supremo together decided that they need to inervene with F1 and make it more "Fun" and "Cheaper." I don't know how this is supposed to make it cheaper, because the companies had to completely design a new car rather than just evolve their previous cars to save money. Plus, with the introduction of KERS (look it up), the manufacturers have had to invest even more money in new technology. Way to save money their...

Anyways, this is supposed to make the cars less stable in the aero department and supposedly make them easier to overtake. I hope their right, because as of right now, these things are pretty hideous to look at. One of the main reasons I loved watching F1 was because the cars looked so badass, now they look like ass. Well world, here is hoping that Formula 1 is still fun to watch, because it sure ain't pretty.

This is directed squarely at Anubha.  Why? Because she loves reading blogs.  LOL

Hey, remember how I said I had a blog but was too lazy to update the damn thing.  Well, I'm kind of annoyed by my job situation and have decided to update it finally.  It's just one thing but I hope you enjoy it.

Anyways, Anubha is a sweet person.  I'm not too fond of Indian girls even though I'm Indian myself.  They just seem to get on my damn nerves.  Oh, BTW, don't take this the wrong way blog reader.  I'm not in love with her or something, just in case this comes out that way.  LOL.  I'm just excited to have a friend who is Indian and not a total jack-ass.  What's more exciting is the fact that our families have known each other for long time, it's just us kids who had no idea.  I'm genuinely excited about having a new family friend in the US.  I don't have much family here in the US, and the ones I do, I really don't like.  So, this is a change because we get along quite well.

Anyways, world, the reason I'm updating this blog is because 1: I'm pissed off at the damn job situation I'm in, which I've already written about.  2: Because the first person I thought of when I came back to my blog after like half a year is Anubha.  Anubha, I would love to call you by your nickname, but I won't do that online. LOL  I know better...I hope.   Also, no I'm not drunk, I'm at home listening to music because I can't sleep.  Or rather, I just woke up and can't fall back asleep and I just applied to a job.   Hope I get it! 

BTW...who ever reads this should check out the song "Sapno se bhare naina" from Luck By Chance by Shankar Mahadevan.  It's an awesome chance.

JOB!!!

Dammit yo.  This economy sucks.  I need a job, been looking for one for a while now.  It sucks not because I can't find any, that obviously sucks, but what's annoying me is the lack of feedback from the people I appy to.  

It's quite simple, if you're not considering me than just shoot an email back, hell just have a template of rejections or something.  Just email me back and tell me that "Sorry buddy, we don't like your resume," or "You don't meet our qualifications," or something of the sort.  It's not that hard.  If I can take out my time to apply to your job, than please return the curtesy and just reply with something.  

Oh well, nothing I can do about it.  I hope one day I have a company.  The way I will manage my company I'm SURE that it will be seen as a new "radical" way of managing and things will change elsewhere. As for now, I can't do anything but wait out this shit-storm of an economy and hope that my broke college student ass get's some sort of a job. 

I know I may sound like an ass without a degree, but honestly, I'm certain I can't fuck things up in this world as much as the people who fucked this economy up with their "degrees" and year of "experience" which I apparently lack.  But you know what, fuck this.  I might not have a degree, but I'm sure I have better ideas than the ones that brought this economy to its knees.  All I ask for is one chance. 

Just give me once chance to consult a major business on it's future and I guarantee that I will come up with a better startegy than their teams of people who have put it down the drain. Why? I'm not greedy and I'm out to prove myself not just earn a buck.  There are still people in this world, like me, who care more about their reputation than earning a buck.  Sure, I didn't earn good grades at school but that doesn't make me less smarter than someone who graduated from Harvard.  

Like I said, I might sound like a person who is getting ahead of themsleves. What I'll say is this. Challenge me.  I'm up to the challege, as long as someone is willing to take the chance.

Sickness

Let me start of by being blunt. Being sick sucks balls. Simple.

I've been sick for the past 2 weeks. I'm getting a little better but it's still not fast enough.

It all started with a soar throat and then that led to severe congestion. I went to the doctors and got a prescription but I'm not sure if that's going to be good enough.

I'm proud to say that I didn't let this stop me from going out. I went to disneyland and then partied it up some more in San Francisco.

I know I could've done a lot more to get better but I guess I wasn't thinking right. Oh well, hope you guys don't get sick.

Sorry about the wait. I've been busy with finals for college and such so wasn't able to update.

Anyways, here are some pics I took for work. I guess this is called product photography? I don't know. I had to take pics of products for our essential collections. Since most of these are just part numbers rather than actual picture attached to them, I had to do the dirty work, per se. But they didn't turn out too bad, considering I was using a crappy HP Photosmart R717 camera which works sometimes and other times it's possesed.

BTW, the pictures on the black reflective material is all my brain at work! Hope you guys like it.
